Opening Hours / Fees

We have at least 2 Chiropractors practising at all times while the clinic is open, so we can usually fit in an emergency appointment (for existing patients) within 48 hours if required. Furthermore, treatments outside of the stated hours can sometimes be made by prior arrangement with the chiropractor. Should you require any further information to that outlined below please feel free to contact us.

Chiropractic Prices

When comparing fees, we feel it is important that you are suitably informed to be able to compare like for like. The duration of treatment visits can vary noticeably between chiropractic clinics, as can the services provided – not all chiropractic clinics offer or include treatment on the first visit for instance. Some other questions when looking for a chiropractor might also include whether they perform any soft tissue work as part of the treatment price, or whether you will be provided with some rehabilitative exercises? You might also wish to find out if you will be treated in a private consulting room or open-plan clinic, as practice facilities can vary.

Methods of Payment

Missed Appointment Charges

Please note that there will be a Full Charge for missed appointments if not cancelled 24 hours before. Please phone if you are unable to make your appointment time, so we can give that space to someone in need.

Health Insurance

We are covered by most major insurance schemes including Bupa, Axa PPP and Standard Life. Please let us know if you intend to use any health insurance when you are making your initial appointment as it may determine which chiropractor you see. We recommend you contact your insurance company, prior to attendance, to verify your chiropractic cover and obtain any authorisation codes/ policy numbers that we may require. Some insurance companies may also require you to obtain a GP referral, so again please check with your provider. We deal with some of the major providers directly but for others we will issue statements for your treatment costs for you to seek reimbursement yourself. If you have any questions, our reception team are happy to help.

What is included in the initial visit?

A thorough review of your medical history, lifestyle and presenting complaint and any previous episodes which you may have experienced.

A physical examination which is relevant to your complaint which will include vital signs (blood pressure), postural, neurological, orthopaedic and special chiropractic tests.

A detailed and clear report of findings informing you of the cause of your problem, an individualised treatment plan including how it can be treated, expected number of treatments and cost.

If you require imaging or further tests such as blood tests before receiving treatment or if your condition is not appropriate for chiropractic care then we will refer you at this point for imaging, back to your GP or other specialist.

Treatment will be provided on the first visit at the discretion of the Chiropractor and if deemed in the patient’s best interest at that time.

Relevant exercises, ergonomic, postural and lifestyle advice.

Subsequent Treatments

Discussion of your progression since the last treatment.

Reassessment of the problematic area and any key tests which were noted from the initial assessment.

Treatment which may include any of the following; manipulation, deep tissue work and/or electrotherapy as well as a review and possible progression of your prescribed exercises.

Reassessment

As you progress through the treatment plan we like to build up a picture of your lifestyle, hobbies, work and sports to enable us to give you the best possible advice to help prevent recurrence.
